4x4 oil self portrait / color study

I recently found another in progress photo:

step 1: take reference photos:

Step 2: Pick reference photo:

Step 3: Grid 1' x 1' picture in quarter inches. 

Step 4: Grid 4' x 4' canvas in inches. 

Step 5: Paint. square by square- or something.

in progress- eyes are way to big. 

finished.  Morning after pulling an all-nighter.

not bad for my first large oil painting, but not happy with the out come. I will re-do the assignment in my spare time to re-deem myself.
